About SWIM@KSoM

The Summer Workshop in Mathematics at Kerala School of Mathematics (SWIM@KSoM) is a rigorous and focused instructional program designed to provide a deep dive into fundamental mathematical areas.

The workshop typically features in-depth lectures covering key concepts in Mathematical Analysis, Abstract Algebra, and Linear Algebra. To reinforce understanding and develop problem-solving skills, these lectures are complemented by dedicated problem-solving sessions.

This intensive program is specifically tailored for highly motivated students, usually in their final year of a Bachelor of Science degree or early years of a Master's program. Instruction is delivered by experienced and highly regarded mathematicians in their respective fields.

The program is jointly organized by the Kerala School of Mathematics and Kannur University.

Selection & Logistics

Evaluation Criteria

Selection is determined by evaluating academic performance in your undergraduate program, Class 12 marks, and official recommendation letters from your department head.

Application Process

Applications must be submitted exclusively through the online portal to be considered for SWIM 2026. Shortlisted candidates will receive formal confirmation via email.

Accommodation

Complimentary meals and on-campus accommodation at Kannur University Campus will be arranged for all selected participants.

Certificates & FYUGP

Participants will receive a participation certificate upon successful completion. This program may be considered towards fulfilling the internship requirements under the Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) subject to the approval of respective colleges.
